Corporate IT Management
Senior technology leadership, with monitoring to back up what it says.
Somebody has to own the technology plan. In most growing companies it’s the CFO by default. This is the alternative: a virtual CIO who sits with your leadership team and owns the roadmap, backed by monitoring that shows whether the plan’s assumptions hold.
Signs you've outgrown ad hoc IT decisions
- The next infrastructure decision should be made by someone who's made it before
- Technology spend keeps climbing and nobody owns the budget or the vendor list
- A compliance program or a funding round is bringing technical due diligence
- Your engineers or your MSP need direction more than another ticket
- You'd rather know a disk is filling up before it's full

The first year, roughly
01 Assess
The IT Health Check & Audit: what you have, what you spend, what the contracts say, where the gaps are.
02 Roadmap
Twelve months of initiatives in priority order, each with a budget line and an owner.
03 Lead and monitor
Monthly advisory sessions and vendor oversight, with monitoring data on the table for every decision.
04 Review
Once a quarter, a review with your leadership. What moved and what didn't, then the next 90 days.
What your board ends up with
- A technology roadmap and a budget the board can read
- One person accountable for every vendor contract and renewal date
- Infrastructure data instead of anecdotes about one slow afternoon
- An internal IT team that gets senior guidance without a senior salary
Corporate IT management FAQ
How much time does a vCIO spend with us?
Vision Advisory is a monthly session with on-call access in between. Vision Leadership is embedded: regular attendance at leadership meetings and ownership of the roadmap. We size it to your stage.
Can the vCIO manage our existing MSP?
Managing your providers is part of the job: holding them to the SLA they signed and reading the invoices closely. When a change makes sense, we run the renewal or the RFP.
Does infrastructure monitoring replace Flow?
Monitoring tells you what’s happening. Flow acts on it, with patching and security response and a helpdesk. If you have your own operations team, monitoring alone is a common setup.
